Living Beyond Average: Looking Inward (part three): Renewing your mind

07:36:00 Posted by jeremiah hugo
Previously we discussed the act of thinking positively (to read the previous section of living beyond the average series, click here) and we mentioned that the mind is  a powerful tool needed to boost your potential. The mind is the engine of your thoughts. If it's negative then you will be negative but if its positive, it defines you as positive.
Today we will be looking at renewing the mind by emptying it's negative thoughts and replacing it with powerful positive thoughts.
Romans 12:2 says ... be transformed by the renewing of your mind... Each and everyday we are faced with different challenges, and because of this many tend to build obstacles from within because of fear of failing. They think and speak of how big there problem is,  and fail to realize how great and mighty our God is. He said in His word in the book of Matthew 11:28 ''come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and i will give you rest''.
Stop filling your mind with negative thoughts. God has said he will bear your burdens and give you rest. The bible says in Phil 4:13 ''I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me''. Just believe in Him and he will give you strength to surmount all your challenges.
When negative thoughts comes into your mind, counter it by speaking positive words, even if it means speaking aloud or shouting it out. When it says you're going to fail, if you make an attempt to achieve your potential, tell yourself that Jesus never failed  and you will not fail. When it says you cannot make it, proclaim that you can do all things through Christ that gives strength. When it says that you are weak, proclaim that God says that He giveth power to the faint and to them that has no myth, He increaseth strength. (Isaiah 40:29).
The devil is constantly bringing negative word into our minds on a daily basis. This is why you have to constantly renew your mind everyday by studying the scripture. You cannot win the the devil negative thoughts without the knowledge of the word of God. You must constantly study Gods word so that whenever he comes with his negative thoughts  you  will have a solid foundation in the word of God to challenge him and replace his negative words with positive thoughts.
you can try the following powerful bible verses
Phil 4:13
Phil 3:13-14
Isaiah 40:29-31
Psalm 119:105
Psalm 119:99
